#94: Host a kid-friendly cookout/pizza night

We hosted 2 families for a "Make-Your-Own Pizza Night" in February 2013. Lots of fun with the families!

#81: Visit the Children's Museum (2/5)

Jeremiah's 3 year old Preschool Class took a field trip to the Children's Museum in May 2012. Lots of fun!

#80: Visit Tanglewood (15/15)

I don't have specific dates for these trips, but we've been to Tanglewood PLENTY over the last few years. We get good use out of our annual pass. Very thankful to live so close to such a great park!

#71: Create & follow a budget for 6 months

In September 2012, we signed up for & attended our first FPU class. It was life changing! It helped us make a budget & actually stick to it. I can't imagine we'll ever deviate from our this system. It's practical & has helped us so much!

#57: Carve a Pumpkin

We carved 2 pumpkins in October 2011.

It was messy & gross. I think we'll stick to painting pumpkins from now on!

#12: Go on a picnic (2/5), (3/5), (4/5), (5/5)

We've enjoyed several picnics, even though I haven't documented them all. A few from memory...
2) Bojangles picnic at Tanglewood with Mimi
3) Picnic with Jeremiah & Josh at Tanglewood Train
4) Picnic at Dan Nicholas Park with Marions & Masons
5) Picnic at Tanglewood Train with Marions

#11: Visit a NC Winery

I really wanted a unique experience for this, but due to various circumstances I have not been able to drink and/or had the time to visit local wineries. So, I'm going to count our visit to the Biltmore Winery. I enjoyed sampling!

#5: Go to the movies (2/3) & (3/3)

We don't go to the movies often, but we have been a few times since we saw Water for Elephants.

Had an afternoon date right before Lucy was born & saw this SILLY movie.

Ladies Night Out to see this Nicholas Sparks novel turned movie.

#3: Visit the Beach (2/3) & (3/3)

We've been fortunate enough to go to the beach several times. Here are a few of the pictures from the last couple of trips.

July 4, 2011 - Annual Family Beach Week

April 2012 - Mother/Daughter Weekend (24 weeks pregnant)

June 2012 - Long weekend at Emerald Isle with the Watsons (31 weeks pregnant)

October 2012 - Lucy's 1st Trip (see that little pink leg sticking out)

#39: Create & complete our “Family Book – 2010”

I finished our Family 2010 Album! It's very basic, but it's documented & finished. One of my favorite events that year was our getaway for Josh's 30th Birthday. We had SUCH  great time!!

#87: Go on the “Cookie Cruise”

We went on the "Cookie Cruise" this week and had such a great adventure! The cruise itself was quite fun...an hour on the Catawba Queen with cookies, juice, storytime, & dancing! The captain gave us free putt-putt passes to use after our cruise ended and then we finished up the morning on the Sprayground at Hope Park. It was a great way to spend a hot summer day!

Taking his "captain" duties quite seriously.

#61: Convert Guest Room to Little Man's Big Boy Room

Baby #2 is due in mid-August, so we needed to finally give Little Man the boot from his crib & nursery. We painted, moved all his clothes, some books/toys, and finally over Spring Break he started sleeping in the Queen size bed in there. A Queen bed seems excessive for a 3 year old, but it is our only extra bed for guests, so we decided to keep it. When we have guests (mainly, my parents) Little Man sleeps in his PeaPod, which he loves!

#60: Paint free Craigslist dresser

I'm counting this as "checked off" even though it didn't exactly go as planned. The dresser I scored for free on Craigslist was too big for the space, so it sat in the garage for almost 2 years collecting dust (and became a home to many spiders...ick!). During a recent nesting spree where our garage was the victim recipient of a big clean-out, it found a new home at my brother-in-law's house where it was needed in the basement. Even though I didn't paint it & give it a new life, it has new life in another home. Good enough for me!

#38: Create & complete our “Family Book – 2009”

I think having Baby #2 due soon lit a fire under me to get caught up on some scrapbooking before I fell even further behind! I finished up our 2009 Family Album. Still need to have it printed, but all the hard work is finished!

Football Fever in our family...even if we cheer for different teams!

#33: Finish Little Man's Baby Book

This is one that I'm SO EXCITED to check off! It may not win "Baby Book of the Year", but J's entire 1st year is documented. I still need to have the book printed, but the hard part it done. Wahoo!

#22: Get involved in a Small Group at church

It may have taken us almost 2.5 years of sporadically attending Calvary West, but we've finally gotten involved in a small group (Bible Fellowship Class) and are really enjoying it! Very thankful God has a place for us to be plugged in that we enjoy & feel comfortable.

#6: Visit 5 new-to-us restaurants in our area

Checked off 2 new-to-us restaurants recently:

2) 4th Street Filling Station

Enjoyed them both & have been back!

update: March 2013

3) 2520 A new favorite!! Been several times - always delicious!

4) Midtown Cafe

#29: Take a photo everyday for 1 year

I did it!!! I'm so excited to have completed a Project 365 for 2011. There were lots of ups & downs, some that weren't represented in the photos, but it was still a great way to remember the everyday little things.  You can see all the photos if you follow this link.

Now I need to merge them all into a book. So fun!

#91: Potty Train Little Man

It took almost an entire summer, but I'm going to declare Little Man potty trained (although #2 is still in progress...).

#25: Attend a Ladies Weekend Conference

I was fortunate to attend a Living Proof Live event in Charlotte in late July with some sweet lady friends. After a particularly tough year, I found the topic of "Hold Fast" to be a perfect lesson/reminder. What a blessing!
